December 17, 2010 – Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. The Kitikmeot Inuit Association (KIA) and First Air are pleased to announce an agreement providing volume pricing for transportation services for the Beneficiaries of the Kitikmeot Birthright Organization; Kitikmeot Inuit Association.
“The Kitikmeot Inuit Association is pleased to provide our Beneficiaries with this discount,” said Mr. Charlie Evalik, President of the Kitikmeot Inuit Association. “We are seeking ways to reduce the cost of living for our Beneficiaries and this is an important step in doing that.”
Mr. Raymond Kayasark resigned as the Vice President of Kitikmeot Inuit Association effective 5:00 P.M. May 25, 2010 for personal reasons.
The Kitikmeot Inuit Association has an immediate opening for an Employment & Training Coordinator at it's headquarter's office in Cambridge Bay.
Reporting to the Director, Beneficiary Services you will be responsible for the preparation and implementation of training proposals and employment plans that will assist beneficiaries gain employment in various economic sectors in the Kitikmeot region. In carrying out these responsibilities you will identify, negotiate, and co-ordinate employment & training opportunities for Inuit of the Kitikmeot region with a variety of employers, including implementation of various Impact Benefit Agreements.
