Vice President of Kitikmeot Inuit Association Resigns

Mr. Raymond Kayasark resigned as the Vice President of Kitikmeot Inuit Association effective 5:00 P.M. May 25, 2010 for personal reasons.

Mr. Kayasark was elected Vice President during a Kitikmeot region wide election held on March 23, 2009.

An election for a new Vice President will be held within the next few months.

KIA President Charlie Evalik said "It is with regret I accept Mr. Raymond Kayasark's resignation and I have enjoyed working with him in the capacity as the Vice President of KIA, there is no doubt his presence and deliberations will be missed, I thank Mr. Kayasark for his contribution to KIA and Kitikmeot Inuit."

KIA President Charlie Evalik said that "Mr. Dennis Lyall, Vice President of KIA Finance will be the interim NTI Board member until the full KIA Board fills this position at their fall board meeting in September 2010."
