Regional First Aid Instructor Course Phase 1& 2 LOCATION: CAMBRIDGE BAY DATES: Tentative dates Phase 1&2 – late November 2025 Phase 3 – to be confirmed

To become a certified First Aid instructor you must successfully:
complete a five day workshop in Cambridge Bay and deliver one supervised course in your home community

Participants will learn how to instruct, present to a class, medical skills, and more! Kitikmeot Inuit Association’s goal is to train Instructors for future employment opportunities to deliver First Aid courses during work days and on weekends, as requested by communities and organizations! Successful participants will have contracting opportunities in the future to deliver First Aid training.

WHO CAN APPLY? Inuit registered under the Nunavut Agreement, residing in the Kitikmeot Region and planning to remain in the region who are:
Minimum 18 years of age (applicants under 18 must have graduated) and willing and available to deliver programming in Kitikmeot Communities as needed

Please Note: Priority will be given to eligible Inuit registered under the Nunavut Agreement, Kitikmeot Region. Strong literacy skills are required to learn and effectively deliver the information to future participants, and to complete the course paperwork and stay organized with it. TO APPLY: Submit your resume AND a letter explaining why you would like to become a First Aid Instructor to: khokanak@kitia.ca by October 30th. Application period will close early if sufficient eligible applications are received prior to the deadline.
