Advance Poll – VP Economic Development Bi-Election in all Communities

Competing for the Vice President of Economic Development position are: Attima Hadlari, (Cambridge Bay) and George Ningark, (Kugaaruk).

The position of Vice President of Economic Development is term to December 31, 2027.Advance Poll:
Monday March 31, 2025 1:00 – 5:00 pm MST at the community locations below.

Cambridge Bay: KIA Boardroom
Gjoa Haven: Gideon Qitsualik Memorial Hall
Kugaaruk: Community Hall
Kugluktuk: Ula Building
Taloyoak: E.W. Lyall Complex

Eligible voters can head to the Advance Poll on March 31, 2025; 1:00– 5:00 pm; or cast their ballots on Voting Day, April 7,2025; 10:00 am to 7:00 P.M. local time. Proxy forms are also available from the offices of the Community Liaison Officers in the Kitikmeot communities or from KIA’s Head Office in Cambridge Bay. Kitikmeot Inuit who are Canadian citizens, 16 years of age or older and enrolled or eligible to enroll under the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement can vote in the upcoming election.
