KIA’s Julia Haogak Ogina Honored with Stamp

The KIA’s own Julia Haogak Ogina was bestowed the rare -and highly deserved – honor of having her legacy and accomplishments recognized with one of three 2025 Canada Post Indigenous Leaders stamps. Julia was honored in a ceremony on Friday in her birthplace of Ulukhaktok, N.W.T. Julia continues her life-long commitment to “maintaining the culture and language of her ancestors.” as KIA’s Language Manager. Congratulations Julia and thank you for what you do each and every day for the KIA, the Kitikmeot and for the betterment of Canada through your incredible dedication and efforts to protect and preserve Inuit culture and language.
