Lorraine Peterson Joins the KIA as Cambridge Bay Community Liaison Officer

Earlier this week Lorraine Peterson took over the role of the Community Liaison Officer (CLO) at the Kitikmeot Inuit Association (KIA) Head Office in Cambridge Bay.

Lorraine’s hiring followed the recent retirement of Junna Ehaloak who had been the Cambridge Bay CLO for more than 11 years.

Lorraine’s Inuinnaqtun language skills and previous experience as a Casual CLO with the KIA make her an ideal addition to the KIA Communications Department and an excellent fit with the other four community-based KIA CLOs.

The KIA Communications Department also welcomed Eric Kitigon (pictured below) to the newly created Communications Coordinator role earlier this month. Eric joins the KIA Cambridge Bay Head Office team to help improve IT and inter-office communications.
