12 Kitikmeot Inuit to Attend Underground Miner Training Program with Agnico Eagle and B2Gold Nunavut Funding

The Kitikmeot Inuit Association (KIA) is proud to announce that with funding from Agnico Eagle and B2Gold Nunavut, 12 Kitikmeot Inuit will be attending a three-month Underground Miner training program at Aurora College in Fort Smith, NWT.

These 12 Kitikmeot Inuit Beneficiaries are graduates of the KIA’s Introduction to the Mining Industry Program and will gain greater mining skills and knowledge needed to launch rewarding careers at the Goose or Hope Bay mine sites.

The KIA is proud to offer this incredible opportunity and Agnico Eagle and B2Gold Nunavut look forward to welcoming these students to their sites and teams after their three-month training is completed.
