KIA Hosts Documentary Crew Filming Drum Dance

Two days before the Truth and Reconciliation holiday, the KIA welcomed a documentary film crew from Manitoba to interview our very own Julia Ogina. Les Productions Rivard used the KIA Cambridge Bay Boardroom to film traditional drum dances and to document the efforts of Julia and her fellow members of the local Drum Dance community to share Inuit language, culture, art, and history. The KIA supports and encourages all efforts to strengthen and preserve Inuit culture. We are also committed to providing Kitikmeot Inuit with the resources and support for cultural, educational, and economic endeavors.
