Cory Barker Appointed Acting Director – Lands

The Kitikmeot Inuit Association (KIA) is pleased to announce the interim appointment of Cory Barker to the position of Acting Director of the Lands, Environment and Resources Department.

Cory joined the KIA in April in the role of Regulatory Affairs Manager. in that role, he has been instrumental in ongoing projects, including the initial stages of the development of a Kitikmeot Conservation Strategy, and the Grays Bay Road and Port Project Review. Cory’s appointment became effective earlier in August after Wynter Kuliktana stepped down from the Director position she had held since 2023
