Former KIA President Donald Havioyak Passes

The Kitikmeot Inuit Association (KIA) was saddened by the recent passing of Donald Havioyak who served as KIA President from 2005-2008. Prior to becoming President of the KIA, Donald was elected to the Nunavut legislature in the 1999 Nunavut general election winning the Kugluktuk electoral district and serving one term. The KIA recognizes Donald for his legacy of public service and advocacy for Inuit Language. Our condolences to his family and friends.
