Important Notice – NTI Nunavut Elder’s Cheques

Potential delays: Canada Post service disruption due to Canada Post strike

We want to inform you about the potential delays in delivery of the Elder’s cheques due to a Canada Post service disruption. Please note, NTI has no control over the duration of the potential service disruption.

In order for all elder’s to receive their payment for December 2024, we will be sending all cheques to the CLOs in your community. The cheques can be picked up from your local CLO office on or after the first week of December.

The cheques can be picked up from your local KIA office on or after the first week of December. Watch this Facebook page for more information on or after December 1. Please do not call or email your local KIA CLO until we announce the cheques are ready for pick up. Please see below for a copy of the NTI notice in Inuktitut, English and Inuinnaqtun.
