Passing of Mr. Jack Kupeuna

The Kitikmeot Inuit Association (KIA) Board was saddened to hear of the recent passing of Jack Kupeuna. Mr. Kupeuna was an instrumental member of the Inuit negotiation team that negotiated the Nunavut Agreement.

“He worked tirelessly to promote Inuit rights throughout his life, and today Inuit can enjoy those rights because of his involvement. We pass on condolences to his entire family; Jack will be missed,” stated Acting President James Eetoolook.
