The Late Robert Greenley Honored

Last night, as part of the 2026 Kitikmeot Trade Show in Cambridge Bay, KIA’s Derek Elias gave a moving and heartfelt introduction to Patty Greenley who was accepting the Willie Laserich Memorial Corporate Citizen Award on behalf of her late husband Robert (Bobby) Greenley. Bobby was elected President of the KIA in December 2022, and served in that role until his health forced him to take a leave of absence in March of 2025. In Derek’s words “Rest in peace my brother, and know that you are missed and that you are still as respected today as you were when you graced us with your presence.”
